*Senior Software Engineer – JAVA 7+ years experience * *Responsibilities*: The Senior Systems Engineer in the Administrative Systems Department is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting moderately complex components of the systems infrastructure. This position evaluates and integrates software and hardware requests. The Senior Systems Engineer also provides issue and problem resolution for moderately complex issues and performs disaster recovery exercises. This position provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments. Specific Description of Duties: - Interpret end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications. - Takes a keen interest in understanding the business process and recommend solutions that effectively meet the needs of the business - Code and successfully perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution as well as compliance to the business and technical requirements. - Work with other software engineers to design interfaces between software applications in order to complete design requirements. - Use system traces and debugging tools for problem determination and system tuning. - Participate in the migration of applications to quality assurance and/or the production environment. - Work with managers and team members to develop development standards. - Perform necessary production support tasks involving on call responsibilities that would involve both during and after work hours. *Qualifications*: *Minimum Qualifications:* - Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Must possess at least 5 years of programming experience with J2EE specifications (OOAD, Core Java, EJB, Servlets, JSP, JMS, JDBC, Web Services, XML, JavaScript) - Proficient knowledge of object-oriented analysis, design and development with strong knowledge of Design Patterns. - Expert knowledge of SQL using Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server. - Excellent hands-on experience with UML Modeling (Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Collaboration Diagram, Use Case Diagram, Deployment Diagram, etc.). - Experience with design tools like Rational Rose and IDE tools like Eclipse. - Experience with application servers like Weblogic, Websphere, or JBOSS. - Expert knowledge using Web Services, WSDL, SOAP – XML. - Good working knowledge of Unix and Windows operating environments. - Experience with frameworks like Struts, Tiles, Hibernate, Spring, XML, XSLT, and JUNIT - Experience with performance tuning, caching, clustering and related concepts is preferred - Experience with ANT, Clear Case, and Clear Quest is preferred. - Experience with scripting languages like Perl and Groovy is a plus. *Qualified applicants must also possess the following skills/competencies:* - Good communication skills to effectively communicate with various IT teams and business units. - Candidate must have recent experience in core application development and troubleshooting utilizing required tools - Previous Experience in financial/credit card processing applications is a plus but is not required. *Responsibilities**: Junior Java Engineer 2 years experience * The Rental Billing department is responsible for the software that supports the billing and invoicing of customers who rent cars or trucks from Enterprise Holdings. This includes maintaining and managing interfaces with internal applications and delivering electronic data to external organizations and customers. The Software Engineer is responsible for developing prototypes and performing application coding and programming. This position interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. The Software Engineer also assists with the analysis and review of software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost restraints.
