Job Title: MicroStrategy Architect Duration: open Location: Tampa florida Primary Skills: Number of Openings: 1 Start Date: ASAP Description: Microstrategy Resource Requirements for "US EIT - Business Intelligence Reporting Implementation" project. Below is the brief summary of work and resource skill set. • Work with PwC/MicroStrategy Vendor to get KT on current state of the project. • Make the necessary changes with Data Model as required to meet the business needs. • Create/Modify the data attributes within MicroStrategy tool by applying the business rules, so reports can be generated by pulling these attributes. • Create/Modify the reports. • MicroStrategy Architect (Project Designer and Data Modeler) The MicroStrategy architect is responsible for translation of the data warehouse schema into usable MicroStrategy schema objects. It is mandatory that this person understand the business environment and rules as well as understand the data and data locations in the warehouse. This role is responsible for the mapping of all objects in the MicroStrategy environment to elements in the data warehouse and troubleshooting of data anomalies. ?Responsibilities •Enable technical delivery of the query profile/user requirements •Ensure that data format and quality goals are met •Understand and assist with creation of dimensional, logical and physical models. Must be able to work with Data Architect to accomplish appropriate model for optimal reporting. •Develop drilling, aggregations and partitioning strategies within data warehouse •Incorporate incremental changes to the data models •Coordinate with the other teams to ensure on-time completion •Mapping of all attributes and facts in the MicroStrategy environment •Working with report developers and business users to ensure appropriate environment for development •Work with admin to ensure performance and access is optimized ?Skills •Strong logical, dimensional, and physical data modeling skills •Strong knowledge of MicroStrategy products and RDBMS features •General knowledge of the data import process •Requirements gathering •Scope development and assessment •Understanding of data quality goals and issues •Understanding and knowledge of the business users and requirements •Understanding of the ETL process ?Requirements •Must have database usage and SQL background •Must understand the business and business rules •Must be able to act as a bridge between the technical aspects of the system and the business requirements •Must be trained in MSTR project design and Advanced Data Warehousing at the least ?
