Has technical expertise in a defined area and can handle problems/tickets -
complex in nature. Serves as escalation point for all isues within a group
(infrastructure support/network) in a project. Responsible for maintenance
and administration, enhancements, following change management policies,
report capacity and availability, updation of the ticketing system and
KEDB. Is expected to trainand mentor junior administrators. Maintains a
roster for shift management (if applicable). Is expected to participate in
weekly operational meetings, change management meetings. Expected to lead
the team from transition to delivery and also work with Project manager for
Infrastructure projects and SI work. Should engage in Continuous
Improvement Projects or SIPs to improve productivity and SLAs. In Package
Implementation space: The incumbent leads and manage complex DBA projects,
has expertise in new technologies, developments, database and application
upgrades. Mentors and groom DBAs.
Additional Skills:
Planning and implementing defect and change request tracking
processes--customizing Rational ClearQuest to facilitate these operations--
administering the ClearQuest system ~ ITIL Service Manager Certified.ITIL
Process consulting experience in service management domain Undertaken ITIL
process due diligence or ITIL processmaturity ~ Develop SOPs and Best
Practices to use across all the projects in SCM Tower.Architecting SCM
solutions for specific customer needs.Problem Management through effective
brainstorming and technical expertise.Large Enterprise wide rollout of SCM
tools. Capacity planning and management.Automation of repetitive tasks thru
scripting. Enforce policy thru triggers,utilities, etc. Contribution to
Tower as SME. Provide consultancy forall aspects of Software Configuration
Management & Defect Management.Knowledge sharing sessions with SCM Tower
people. Plus all theresponsibilities of L3. Evaluation of new releases
andsuggesting to the projects.Play a lead role of SCM expert to the
organization.Making the best decisions and suggesting the SCM toolas per
the project requirement.Work with the Project Manager to set the processand
direct the team to work as per it. ~ Setup Builds for current/new product
releases.Attend bug scrubs. & posts patches. Troubleshoots Build failures.
Does triage of build failures. Configures Project &RE Builds for new
releases. Ensures that the RE Evironment/Hardware matches thecompatibility
matrix. Analyzes build failures associated with RE issues and detwhere
fixes/improvements can be made.Defines the improvements to RE
processes.Work closely with Release Management team in determining the best
approachto RE/SCM for the upcoming releases.Technically responsible for the
quality & time lines of Patches & Builds.Is the point of escalation for
customers whenthing don’t go according to accepted SLAs. Coachesand mentors
RE I and II employees. Works with othersoutside RE to identify issues and
recommend
