Data Modeler - AASE Duties The nature of the work is focused on the company's computer and telephony technology tools used to create, store, exchange, and use all forms of information. Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed products/services, applications, and service offerings, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance. Partner with our other capabilities teams to understand projects that are approved for implementation or are being studied for potential implementation and to research and estimate them. Work with the technical resource manager to estimate and staff resources on your project. Responsible in translating business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data model Works with database administrator to create physical database designs Responsible for the development work related create Cognos Framework Models. Skills 8 years' experience in Information Design or DataModeling Strong working experience in a Data Modeling using CA Erwin Working experience using Teradata, Oracle, Cognos and ETL Very Good hands on experience using TeradataTools (SQL Assistant, PMON, Teradata Administrator) Strong Experience on large multi terabytes datawarehouses Excellent communication skills Strong Experience with leading a team of people to deliver results Knowledge of Relational and Dimensional data modeling concepts Proficient in use of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, and Visio *2. **Data Modeler – Digital. Same JD as above except for Cognos skills are not mandatory.* *JC DISCUSSION:* *Sr. / LEAD - Data Modeler - ( 5 - 8 YEARS)* *Location: Rhode Island* *No of positions: 1* JD: · The position will focus primarily on logical data modeling while using ERWIN as the relational modeling tool and IgniteXML as the canonical modeling tool. · The position will review new/enhanced designs being proposed from the various projects and determine if it’s complete and modeled accordingly. · The logical changes would be applied to the proper relational/canonical model, DDL/XML would be generated and physical model would be approved. · Additional tasks will include synchronizing (may include reverse engineering) the Erwin model to the production model for accuracy and make the proper corrections. · In addition, this position is responsible for the continued development of our Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM) along with defining source to target mappings, establishing context diagrams, and documenting data flows. · In addition, they will work with project teams to create XSD canonical data model components from the ELDM including component XSDs. · This is position works directly with project teams and other business leads. It is highly recommended to have pharmacy and/or retail subject matter expertise. · Skills include proven experience with data architecture methodologies and deliverables, data modeling and XSD generation for a large complex organization.
