*Front-end development*
- Build and maintain sites according to the project requirements and
direction from the Director of Web Strategy and IT
- Collaborate with other web designers and developers in executing
solutions against the specified technical architecture and visual design
- Document code in accordance with expectations outlined in the project
requirements
- Ability to develop and execute a unit test plan and work towards
delivering code that is free of bugs and satisfies all communicated project
requirements
- Able to translate business requirements into technical solutions
· Troubleshoot issues with IT and QA team
· Ability to work independently
20%
*Departmental functions:*
· Test third party solutions
· Represent the Marketing department in meetings and presentations
with other departments and senior management as required
· Create and maintain a set of coding standards, documentation and
best practices
*This position may be required to execute special projects or other related
duties based upon the needs of the organization and department.*
*Job Requirements*
- Essential Requirements:
*Education:*
· A Bachelor's Degree
*Experience: *
· 4-7 Years' experience in web development, programming, software
and application development
- Experience with writing / modifying relational database queries (SQL)
- Experience with client-side web development and maintenance using
HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and experience with source code control
systems
*Skills: *
- Understanding of media queries and optimized CSS development
- Experience with adaptive and responsive design
- Experience using data to enhance user experience
- Required knowledge of JQuery, JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS.
- Excellent knowledge of internet best practices and user experience
- Understanding of use cases and user stories
- Cross browser compliance testing
· Unit test code produced as determined by the project requirements
and Associate Director of Web Strategy
- Understanding of social integration strategies
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in a timely manner to
Director of Web Strategy or IT
(both verbally and/or in writing)
- Collaborates effectively with web team and cross-functional teams
- Clearly communicates project status and dependencies to teammates and
cross-functional teams
- Escalates issues in a timely manner and provides positive solutions or
alternatives to problems
- Successfully manages priorities to set expectations, maintain
stakeholder satisfaction, and deliver projects on time, error-free and at
the highest quality
- Able to clearly communicate and present thoughts and strategy to
senior executives and stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented and creative
environment
- A strong eye towards what is next and innovative
- Ability to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in
a team environment
- Familiarity with ASP .NET and DotNetNuke a plus
