*Job Title: Storage/Backup Architect*

*Location: Norristown, PA *

*Duration: 6 months *



Job Description:

Development of strategies, policies and best practices through
participation in management meetings and other direct contributions.
Working on code upgrades and verify that the code levels will interact with
the environment. Involved with Capacity Planning from a usage, utilization
and performance perspective. Develops and cultivates strong customer
relationships ensuring a ''Customers for Life'' relationship. EMC Proven
Professional Certification desired.

   - Adheres to proper escalation and change control procedures. Prepares,
   maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time
   recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.
   - Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software
   requirements of EMC and industry products and solutions through
   professional associations, trade journals and networking.
   - Supports the design and development of the technical content defined
   in the statement of work.
   - Designs the EMC solution and supports the installation, customization,
   and integration of the solution.
   - Prepares technical architectural and implementation design documents
   and works with the project management to develop the implementation plan.
   - Works closely with the project management to define project
   deliverables and schedules.
   - Participates in requirements gathering for project engagements.
   - Leads project quality assurance activities, including performing
   technical reviews on components for a team and performing reviews of code
   documentation.

*Desired Skills and Experience*

   - Solutions Architect experience with EMC SAN products
   (Symmetrix(VMAX/DMX), VNX), Vblock, VPLEX, Recover Point, SRM Suite
   - NAS (Isilon / Celerra) and VPLEX experience
   - Avamar, Networker, Datadomin, and experienced in backup products
   - DPA -Data Protection Advisor and it is a monitoring and reporting tool
   for backup/storage products
   - Replication tools Recover point, SRDF,
   - Building processes, procedures, best practices.
   - Migration of SAN fabrics
   - Experience expanding frames within the environment. Will be working on
   the code upgrades, interfacing with the customer and capacity planning
   (usage, utilization and performance)
   - Analytical ability.
   - Project management skills.
   - Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems
   environments.
   - Consulting experience strongly preferred
   - Knowledge of SAN technology
   - Knowledge of Networking technology
   - Superior documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
   - Strong working knowledge of backup infrastructure, technologies, and
   strategies in enterprise environments.
   - Strong working knowledge of enterprise data protection requirements.
   - Working knowledge of various data protection methodologies including
   utilization of virtual libraries, replication, and business continuance
   planning and implementation
   - Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems required.
   - Able to work independently
   - Solid work ethic
