Involved in test planning, writing test cases and scripts, test case automation and test execution. Documents all problems. Five years of experience is desired. *Experience in testing of web applications is a plus.* *Deliverables:* *Test Plans, Test Cases, Executed Tests, Status Reports, and other standard project deliverables.* *PROJECT TITLE: * *Information Technology - Quality Assurance Analyst * – This person is responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases and scripts, possible participation in test case automation, and test execution. Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst. Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues and attend walkthroughs and attend signoff meetings. Serve as a coach and mentor to the department staff regarding how to develop and execute a test plan. Serve as a process improvement leader for the QA department. Responsible for identifying areas for improvements, implementing process improvements and ensuring long term compliance. *Minimum/General Experience:* *Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. * *Minimum 6 years of IT work experience. * Testing background and hands on experience with test tools. *Work toward certifications including: CSQE or CSQA preferred, professional test tool certification (HP, Rational, etc.)* *Scope:* *Experienced QA Analyst for a project to deliver a technical solution for a web-based technology that encompasses the following features:* *Health & Wellness* •Help members understand their health and wellness needs in the most relevant contexts •Help members take action on their health needs by connecting them to the appropriate people and programs Transparency •Help members understand the cost and quality consequences of their actions in the healthcare system before, during, and after interactions with the system Administrative Ease •Help members understand the actions they need to take to ensure their care is paid for appropriately The technology platform for these features is delivered through a group of web-based applications or systems that interact with each other to update information in the various systems and for the user. As such, testing will focus on the individual systems, independent of any interfaces, on connectivity and data exchange ability between all systems, and in the user interface. Selected applicant will be analyzing project documentation, writing test cases, tracing test cases to requirements, creating test data, executing test cases, logging defects, and reporting status following established processes. *Applicants are expected to have the following skill set:* •Excellent web-based application testing skills are required. •Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel experience is required. •Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are required. •Healthcare experience and related business knowledge is preferred. •HP Quality Center experience is preferred. *•IBM Rational ClearQuest experience is preferred.* *Minimum Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, Certification in CSQE or CSQA preferred, but not required.
