*Rates: $50/hr* *Interview mode: phone or Skype* *Position Responsibilities:* - Installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting Linux applications. *- Insure proper monitoring of all environment URLs for availability. Be able to identify monitoring gaps.* - Insure proper escalation and notification for each project. *- Troubleshoot and resolve Client Engagement Support issues.* - Ability to create and document processes ranging from sever creation to proper response to alerts. - Handle day to day support activities that pop up and must be comfortable in working on production support incidents on a live call with several other support teams, making recommendations, escalating when necessary. - Create/manage existing shell scripting in the application. *Qualifications:* *- 7+ years of prior work experience in IT, including recent 3+ years of work experience with CentOS/RHEL in an enterprise (100+ server) environment.* *- Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, tuning, and troubleshooting complex Linux application installations* *- Extensive 24/7 Level 2 Support Experience in troubleshooting Production environments* - Ability to respond to critical issues, manage critical trouble tickets and drive towards permanent resolutions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. *Plus:* - Experience in migrating applications from development/test environments to production including customization. - Active participation in infrastructure architecture, such as hardware sizing, effort estimation and security. - *Experience with complex Linux/Windows based environments.
