Job Title: SAP BW Consultant Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 8+ Months The Programmer/Developer for Capgemini will be responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks; reviewing code written by other programmers; requirements gathering; bug fixing; and testing, documenting, and implementing software systems. He will interpret architecture and design; conduct code reviews; and mentor, guide, and monitor programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies; develop, test, and release software. The Programmer/Developer 2 will write software programs using specific programming languages/platforms such as Java or MS.NET, and related tools, platforms, and environments; write, update and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment; and consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes. He will perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt new requirements; write, analyze, review and rewrite programs using workflow chart and diagram, and apply knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic; and write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users. Additionally, he will correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure desired results are produced; conducts trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure correct instructions and that desired information is produced; compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions to ensure understanding. 20% Production support lead 10% Gather and document client requirements, estimate the work 50% Coordinate with Global devliber team, OC Bi COE and ensure work is delivered on time and with quality 10% Design and development of project services on request 10% Develop and mentor resources on team SAP BW expert, BOBJ + Datastage knowledge will be an added plus Resource needs to be able to manage resources offshore and contribute individually and also maintain client relationship Day to day DSTUM meetings He needs to be good at problem solving and troubleshooting issues.
