I wasn't complaining about the bug, but about the version numbers. Only because I run a "compare" on each version, I was able to find out why 10.4 ran on one system and not on another system. It's just NOT DONE to keep version numbers the same. If I weren't running a compare, I would still be trying to find out why 10.4 runs fine on system x and not on y. You should consider that we are being put on a wild chase if those version numbers aren't changed.
