What I meen is - ASSP is an open source project and this will/should it be
for ever. The global-PB-client-code is part of ASSP and if you want, you
can change it to your needs . The Server-Code is still written in perl and
the http-engine in php, but this will be changed as soon as possible to
'C'.
At this time, I do not want to make the server-code part of a open source
project - I am afraid that we get vulnerable!
I think there is published enougth : the source of the client, the sources
of the local-PB (the data) is well known and also the logical procedure to
build the global-PB.
And
for example: There are some DNS-BlackList providers which could also be
use with ASSP, where you need to register or who selling there service. No
body would have the idea demand them to publish there code, because there
service is used with an open source project!

It's not open source if what you said is true.

It was once said best like this - "multiply it times infinity, take it to
the depths of forever, and you will still have not the slightest idea of
what I'm talking about."
