The old w32.clamav is currently dead in the water - no updates since Feb 08. The other native ports (hideout & netfarm) both have versions that run on NT (and Win98 for that matter) without any MS addon. They are both up to 0.94rc1 (which runs well on my systems). Sosdg has kept up well with releases, but has the overhead of the cygwin emulation so will always be slower. Also the developer is relocating and has said "After Sept 15th, there will be no more SOSDG builds till around November. I will no longer have my Windows build system...", and currently the site is down. ME asked for consensus, but each version is packaged by a single individual, and if they get busy elsewhere, the job doesn't get done - just see what's happened to the 'official' port at w32.clamav.net. I keep an eye on all of them, and go with the one I prefer - currently hideout.ath.cx Until sourcefire decide to put resources into a binary windows build, I don't expect this situation to change. And for the OP, there's a selection of 'other sig' download scripts for nix and windows on the sanesecurity site http://www.sanesecurity.com/clamav/usage.htm paul ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Assp-test mailing list Assp-test@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/assp-test
