I just looked, and there is no file named exception.log anywhere on my server. I looked at assp.pl, and it appears that it would write the file to C:\ASSP if it did in fact write it.
In this case, it is not writing the file - no exception is being caught, I suppose - it appears either the ASSP code is just dying, or it is causing the perl process itself to hang. In either case, perl.exe remains in memory, utilizing all the memory it was before, but its CPU utilization goes to 0%, and all mail processing ceases - no logging, no accepting connections, it just STOPS.
