Ok, I'm using version 1.5.1.1(1.08). I noticed this problem again.
Here's how I reproduced it:
1. Used Block Report email to create an email resend request.
2. Saved a copy of the original email from the assp/spam folder to
assp/
3. Opened the assp/resend folder
4. Pushed "Send" on the Block Report email.
5. Copied the email that was put into the assp/resend folder to assp/
with another name (so as to not overwrite the original).
6. Used Examdiff to compare the files.
7. ASSP strips some lines (5 in this example) from the original file
that make it impossible to resend:
a. Return-Path:
<zo4jho-pgu3-mhi8-18o6on-q24e-h-m2-20090403-addb1683011bf8e...@budgetdnt
.bounce.ed10.net>
b. From: "Budget" <[email protected]>
c. Reply-To: "Budget" <[email protected]>
d. Message-Id:
<16336-4633-ZO4JHO-PGU3-MHI8-18O6ON-Q24E-H-M2-20090403-addb1683011bf8e55
[email protected]>
e.X-Mail-From:
zo4jho-pgu3-mhi8-18o6on-q24e-h-m2-20090403-addb1683011bf8e...@budgetdnt.
bounce.ed10.net
8. The error message states: Can't call method "address" on an
undefined value at C:/Perl/site/lib/Email/Send/SMTP.pm line 24.
9. Line 24 of smtp.pm (from what I gather) is looking for a "From"
address.
10. Simply adding the above lines back into the email doesn't fix it for
me. But, if I copy the original into the assp/resend folder, it resends
fine.
As usual, any file touched/created by ASSP ends up in Unix format vs.
Windows/dos format. Not sure if that has anything to do with my failed
attempt to try to re-add the missing lines to the file in the resend
folder.
Kind Regards,
Brett
