I'm getting more and more reports from clients of this happening -
too many that have started reporting it in the last couple of weeks
or so to be a coincidence. The only thing that has changed on my
server is ASSP. I am getting emails like this:

>My name is xxxx xxxx, of xxxxx Inc. and my email address is
>[email protected]. I am using Outlook Express for my email software.
>
>I have a trouble of sending emails and need your help to fix.
>
>It started yesterday but when I try to send emails, the email message
>actually sent out but the original email still remain in Outbox, and never
>move to SentItems folder. So I send the same emails again and again,
>until I delete the email in the Outbox manually.
>
>I did deleted "Outbox.dbx" from my hard drive and restart to Outlook Express
>to remake the Outbox folder. It did not work.
>
>I did create new Identity of Outlook Express, with empty folders,
>but the problem was not fixed.
>So I guess this is the problem of your server. Please advise me.

As far as ASSP is concerned, it is seeing a full SMTP conversation,
ending with "QUIT" coming from Outlook. For whatever reason, ASSP is
dropping the connection quickly or doing something else that is
causing Outlook to decide that the message was not actually accepted
(even though the mail server reported it as accepted, before Outlook
sent a QUIT command).

I have been completely unable to duplicate this problem, the logs
tell me nothing, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what is causing it.
