The DNS-Backscatter detection is part of V2 as 'last resort' backscatter check. Using (FBMTV) 'DoMsgSig' (BATV is also possible) will detect 100% of wrong bounces. So even if the DNS check is configured, it will be rarely (or never) processed by ASSP, if one of the 100% -- checks is used. The DNS-Backscatter-code is tested outside ASSP (because of this) and I can say - it is working.
