Hi Trevor

I haven't seen anyone mention it but do you have a backup MX server configured 
somewhere? Perhaps at you ISP, and could email be routing differently from that 
server?

Before tonight's main test, I killed assp a few times to see what  
arrived at the mail server in the minute before the restarted it. Each  
time, there were no mail server SMTP log entries, but they restarted  
as soon as assp did. I anticipate the same when I turn of assp for  
half an hour tonight.
