I have read that some of you have some problems with starting ASSP as a Service
(Timeout). My ASSP installation runs on a windows 2008 x64 and fortunately I
have no problems with starting ASSP as a service. To be fair I have only a
small amount of spam-emails per day (less than 1000).

Despite of this fact it will probably help you to define the dependencies of
the ASSP service. This will make sure, that ASSP waits with starting until for
example your SMTP service and your MySQL service are available. To my mind it
is definitely the right way to define the dependencies also if this probably
will not solve the problem.

Please find a small example to do this from Microsoft here:

hope it will help...

regards
Marco
