> There is already a timeout, set by $ClamAVtimeout. that one won't solve the issue I'm reporting, Fritz, please reread my email and have a look at the "ping()" code inside the File::Scan::ClamAV and you'll see that there is NO timeout there; also remember that the socket will successfully connect but the "PONG" answer from clamd will come back ONLY after ClamD will complete the reload or whatever blocking operation it may be carrying on
