Alan, >I using a version 2
what version ? >At 05:03:39 Nagios reported free memory was 71M >Next alert at 05:39:39 - 436 MB of free memory So assp has used ~365 MB - this is an expected minimum value. Havy load systems are running at 1 GB RAM (or even more - depending on the configuration). Thomas Alan McNeil <[email protected]> 30.10.2009 00:15 Bitte antworten an ASSP development mailing list <[email protected]> An ASSP development mailing list <[email protected]> Kopie Thema [Assp-test] Memory Leakage and crash under linux Linux assp users, Is anyone else having major memory leakage problems under linux? Scott MacLean reported leakage under windows - msg03975. I'm seeing 15Mb / hour of size creep on assp. Yes, it is just assp doing it. I've isolated everything in a virtual server. When I stop assp, free memory return to the exact value before starting assp. I using a version 2. All versions I've used have had leakage but it's gotten worse. I'm using clamav but no other add-ons like OCR. I used to be able to survive most of a day before needing a restart but last night assp crashed with no sign of why in the log after just a 6 hour run. At 05:03:39 Nagios reported free memory was 71M (Nagios warning level 75M). Memory dropped 2Meg a minute for the next 6 minutes but never hit the magic 50M free level that would have paged me. Next alert at 05:39:39 - 436 MB of free memory followed by loads of assp down critical notices. We usually get 4-8 emails from our store server at that time. Here's the last two minutes in a combined postfix and assp log slightly edited to protect client domains. Looks like everything was fine and then assp just croaked. Looking far back in the log I see 5 workers at once is the high point. No FATAL's found.
