Mailloops are mainly caused by misconfigured SMTP gateways or servers. For 
example: a mail is forwarded to the sending server (possibly over some 
other hops).

Can you give an example of when a neverending mail loop would happen? 
Is this only auto reply hitting auto reply?

Doesn't auto reply have a header that specifically marks it as such, 
or is this type of loop entitrely different?
