I am experiencing problems as well, in .26 and .27. My .26 machine (which is my heavy load machine) did not have anything significant in the exceptionlog.txt, however it continually restarts assp over and over again. What I DID find is this: the debugSignal.txt file had grown to over 2 gigabytes in size, containing thousands and thousands (30-40 per second) of these notifications:
