I have a big issue with 1.7.1 .

Several clients are reporting that randomly ASSP executes a
Apr-01-10 21:57:01 Reloading config;

after this Reloading config ASSP loads all values in assp.cfg.defaults

Apr-01-10 21:57:01 AdminUpdate: bombDataReMaxHits changed from '2' to '';
Apr-01-10 21:57:01 AdminUpdate: bombReISPIP changed from '1' to '';
Apr-01-10 21:57:01 AdminUpdate: bombMaxPenaltyVal changed from '70' to '';
Apr-01-10 21:57:01 AdminUpdate: maxBombSearchTime changed from '5' to ''; and
so on ...

it fully mess up smtp setting and ASSP simply stop to work ...
How to prevent "Reloading config" ?

to fix the issue I was forced to remove this part of code from reloadConfigFile

# -- this sets the variable name with the same name as the config key to
the new value

unluckly it's not related , AutoReloadCfg is disabled. The problem
happens when I send a kill HUP pid
signal .

Server Setup->Automatic Reload ConfigFile (AutoReloadCfg)
If selected and the assp.cfg file is changed externaly, ASSP will
reload the configuration from the file.

Whitelist removal doesn't work by sending email to
"notwh...@myspamdomain.com".  I changed the default from "assp-notwhite"
to just "notwhite".

I get an email back that just says (but there are no recipients):
Note -- Mail was not delivered to the following recipients:

Also, I checked the address through the GUI and the email address was
still there.

In addition to that, in reporting spam emails (that are somehow already
whitelisted), I receive this response:
You reported spam to the Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy (ASSP) v1.7. It has now
been recorded and will be used in the next database rebuild. Thank you
very much!

user <mailto:u...@mydomain.com> @mydomain.com: not processed, local
address

The From: address from the spam submission is not removed from the
whitelist. I checked it through the GUI and it is still there. I have
ASSP set to remove Spam submissions from the whitelist with the setting:
(EmailErrorsModifyWhite)
<http://10.0.50.150:55555/#EmailErrorsModifyWhite>  set to "modify
whitelist".

Kind Regards,

Brett
