Strangeness. Running v2 win32.

Almost every night, somewhere between 8:45 and 8:53, I get an alert
(from an external monitor) that SMTP isn't responding. It comes back
2-5 minutes later.

There's nothing logged. The last line logged before the outage is
generally between 20:45 and 20:53, and is a normal log line. The next
line is usually just another log line, 2-5 minutes after the previous
one.

On occasion, the next line is something like this:

Apr-11-10 20:55:07 Info: Performance issue detected! Please increase
the SMTP-Worker-Number (NumComWorkers) to 6, 300 MB are needed and 876
MB are available on your system

I'm wondering if that's just because there's a ton of servers trying
to reconnect after the outage.

The machine is pingable during this time, SMTP just doesn't respond.
Rebuild spam is not set to be running anywhere near this time.

There's nothing else running on this machine, nothing scheduled to run
then, and the real SMTP server is fine during the time.

Can anyone think of something that could be causing this?

THANKS
