I am running Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit. Actually with 1.1.02 running real  
memory used (out of 8 GB) is 1.02 GB, assp.pl is using 645 kB only.
I am not able not remove some RAM, because this is a rented server  ;-)

Yes, 1.1.03 is not running and dies after a few minutes. Just tested a  
moment ago.

Which should be the right one? I´ll give it a try.

I followed the instructions for ulimit and played a little bit with  
ThreadStackSize as well -> no change.

Perl was installed with apt-get, so I guess it is a pre-compiled version.
