It's stranger than I thought. I sent the message with simply: [email protected] in the body.
2 lines for the addition, then an already on whitelist (is that because outlook sent the message as an html message and had a mailto in there???) and then the last two lines with two dots. Results are as follows: [email protected]: added to whitelist [email protected],[email protected]: added to whitelist [email protected]: already on whitelist [email protected]: added to whitelist [email protected],[email protected]: added to whitelist Here's the source of the html email from outlook: <html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:m=" http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" xmlns=" http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40"><head><META<http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40%22%3E%3Chead%3E%3CMETA>HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=us-ascii"><meta name=Generator content="Microsoft Word 14 (filtered medium)"><style><!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {mso-style-priority:99; color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {mso-style-priority:99; color:purple; text-decoration:underline;} span.EmailStyle17 {mso-style-type:personal-compose; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:windowtext;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";} @page WordSection1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.0in 1.0in 1.0in;} div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;} --></style><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:shapedefaults v:ext="edit" spidmax="1026" /> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:shapelayout v:ext="edit"> <o:idmap v:ext="edit" data="1" /> </o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link=blue vlink=purple><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal><a href=" mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>  <[email protected]%22%[email protected]%3C/a%3E  >; <o:p></o:p></p></div></body></html> I just tried another one having outlook do plain text, not html and I don't get the "already on whitelist" line, nor did I get the forth and fifth line double dot. So, things to figure out if possible: 1) Why there's two lines for the addition showing the global and the personal and if there's a way to stop this 2) have the email handler strip off html coding so there's not 2 attempts to add it 3) figure out what could have caused the double dot in the last 2 lines above ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Protect Your Site and Customers from Malware Attacks Learn about various malware tactics and how to avoid them.
