POssible, but I'd expect unlikely, given other factors and observations. 

I did just change a couple of unrelated settings and the message seems to have 
stopped. We also restarted the EIMS server and it is now OK. I'm now leaning 
toward the Mac not getting around to setting up DNS services quickly, but the 
situation appears to last for several minutes. This is VERY unusual for a Mac, 
in particular this one, because it's brand new and the fastest mini we have 
(I've been amazed by how much faster it is that other minis and other Mac 
variants I've been using). 

This is all very strange.
