I was curious to give this list a spin http://wiki.junkemailfilter.com/index.php/Spam_DNS_Lists
the problem is that the single list contains both "black" and "white" entries which are marked using different return codes (IPs); now, while ASSP can deal with such different codes (as explained in the DNSBL section of the GUI) I'm not sure how to tell it to ignore the "white" entries (in the blacklists section) and/or to only consider them (in the whitelist section); basically my idea, given it's possible, would be to add something like (refer to the above URL for details) hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com=>127.0.0.2=>3 hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com=>127.0.0.4=>4 hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com=>127.0.0.3=>5 to the ASSP DNSBL entry and then something like hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com=>127.0.0.1 to the ASSP DNSWL one, but... how will ASSP deal with the other return codes - i.e. will it ignore the 127.0.0.1 while checking blacklists and will also it ignore all the 127.0.0.3...5 while checking whitelists ? Or, in any case, is the above format correct ? Notice that in the blacklists case, I'll be running the list at a low score since I only want to test it ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn Windows Azure Live!
