Hello, I'm just seeing if this is something that the devs would even consider...
I love ASSP, but I had to stop using it a long time ago (when the new v2 development took off thanks to Thomas joining the project) because for our needs, it was just a much too fast moving target, and more importantly, just had too many problems with too many builds that caused mail disruption too many times (it has been a while since I've used it, but I've been monitoring this list since then, and I still see lots of reports of similar issues). What I would really, really like to see is the ability to use ASSP in an after-queue Content-Filter-Only mode, complete with all of the per user Block Reporting & content filter training goodness (my favorite parts of ASSP). This way, it could be integrated with pretty much any email system. My preference would be postfix+amavisd-new+ASSP on linux), so an MTA could be used that has built-in rock solid pre-queue anti-spam measures available - like postfix. Postscreen + proper use of access checks probably does as good of a job as all of ASSPs initial SMTP/non-content antispam measures, but is super fast & rock-solid (absolutely no offense intended to ASSP or its devs intended!!). If this is not possible or not something the devs deem worthy of consideration, no problem, I'm just asking...
