>Are there any potential problems with ASSP from running this way

No, assp will work this way if it is correctly configured.

- use one MySQL instance for each assp - replicat them asynchron - or use
a MySQL cluster
- use NFS or rsync on linux - or DFS on Windows to synchronize the corpus
folders
- configure one assp as DB-master and all ohers as DB-slave
(mysqlSlaveMode)
- setup the config sync feature on all assp instances
- don't forget to configure 'myName' , 'myNameAlso' and 'BlockRepForwHost'
- set the 'Stats'->Counter on each assp instance to a different start
value (eg. 0, 1.000.000 , 2.000.000 ...) to get unique file names

Betreff: [Assp-test] Redundancy

Hi folks,

I have been thinking about how to improve our current setup. At the
moment we operate an off site cpanel DNS only server protected by an
instance of ASSP V1.

I would like to do away with the cpanel instance as it is stopping us
from putting ASSP V2 on the off site.

Our ASSP V2 setup runs a MySQL back end so I am trying to figure out the
best way to get an off site replica of MySQL that is up to date if the
primary site goes off line. I would also like the two to come back and
sync up gracefully.

Is anyone running this kind of redundancy? Are there any potential
problems with ASSP from running this way?

All the best,
Colin.
