OK, I did what you, Fritz and Victor suggested :
1. Copied over and uncompressed assp.gz
2. Renamed it from assp to assp.pl
3. Viewed the contents of the files and made sure what
is shown below _lives_ inside the file :
#!/usr/bin/perl --
# anti spam smtp proxy
our $version = '1.99';
our $modversion = '(13143)';
4. Checked the files' size : uncompressed = 1834034
(assp.pl -- size 1 834 034 bytes ?)
Started assp again only to find out on the smtp logs that it keeps spewing
spam to the outside world.
You said something about v1.99 being able to monitor who is sending
what to the outside ?
Do you know where I can find this ?
At the moment I've stopped assp and am working directly with the mail
server in hope that it will stop sending spam but I doubt it.
