use the latest ActivePerl 5.16.3.1603 - 32 Bit (
http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads )

There is no requirement but a recommendation for using a database for the
main hashes and lists and if possible (should be) to use BerkeleyDB for
the temporary hashes and lists.
The database (RDB) could be any of MySQL, MSSQL, oracle, DB2 , PostgreSQL,
Firebird ....
An RDB or BerkeleyDB is required for the 'spamdb' if HMM should be
enabled.

Betreff: [Assp-test] Server hardware requirements
We are currently running ASSP V 1.99 on windows server 2008 64bit running
Perl 5.01.
We want to build a new server and run ASSP V2.3.3 (latest build) on
windows 2012 64bit. From what I read the best version of Perl to use is
5.14. What kind of hardware would you guys recommend running this version
of ASSP on?
Also, does V 2.3.3 require the use of MySQL? I don't' see that listed in
the Win32-quickstart-guide.txt, but I have seen it brought up in several
of the other posts in this forum. If it is a requirement I will need to
take this into account for the hardware requirements as we don't have room
for an additional server.
Thanks in advance.
