BUT I SHOULD CHANGE THE ASSP CODE to solve such an issue - I'm sorry - but
this makes no sense to me. HERE stops the fun my friends!
454 is a temp error - which means 'possibly I or you was anyway wrong -
but you can try again'.
In case of an AUTH command assp is waiting until a 535/534 or 235 reply is
sent , the transmission is canceled (421/221) or any socket is closed.
All other actions and replies are transparent for both peers. If your
server tells the client '4xx - try again if you want' - why should assp
deni this?
ASSP is a spam filter not a SMTP protocol mistake fixing tool.

I second for a hidden variable, which would complement rfs 535,534
responses.
Have an old qmail based config here, which returns 454 error in such
cases.
