Hi Folks, It turns out that the issue is purely down to Microsoft's IP ranges. The HRDP IP addresses are not published on the list of outbound IP addresses that Microsoft use.
As we are using ASSP as a smarthost and I firewalled off the relayport to only their published IP ranges the connections were not being allowed through. Even when I was sending mail to other people as a test it was still routing through us hence failing. I have allowed relaying from the list MS have sent me and will reply to them asking where these are published and if they can add a note to the main list referring to the HRDP.
