I am running 2.009 on Ubuntu 14.04 without these errors. I did find that some modules don't pass tests if I use CPAN to install which is where apt comes in. Any modules that didn't install from CPAN I was able to install cleanly with the package manager..except Crypt::GOST which requires the source altering before it will make.
