Hello, linux 4.4.70-18.9-default x86_64 assp 2.5.5 (17073) perl 5.18.2
Recently ASSP has been simply disappearing. Nothing in the maillogs, nothing in the system logs. Occasionally a coredump is created. (If interested I have one at 55 MB in size.) Previously ASSP had been quite stable, running for months without issue. So the question arose: What was changed recently? The answer: ASSP was changed to use MySQL rather that files for its data store. After returning to the file-based method, ASSP has been stable. Lovely that the flat files were backed up regularly.
