I'm sorry - No.

1. sender match is rule 5 - block => eee
2. recipient match is rule 2 - block => bbb

the combined rule (sender OR recipient) is - block => eee|bbb

.... will be logical OR (pipe '|') combined from the matched rule for the
first envelope recipient and the envelope sender - according to the mail
flow ....

and the final example:

if rule 5 is set to - block => eee, block-in => -+bbb (temp result at
runtime block => eee|bbb, block-in => -+bbb   --->  mail in = block =>
eee|bbb|-+bbb   ---  mail out = block => eee|bbb)
the final combined rule for incoming mails at runtime (sender OR
recipient) is - block => eee - because bbb will be removed
the final combined rule for outgoing mails at runtime (sender OR
recipient) is - block => eee|bbb

Now everything is clear - is'nt it?

But to bring some confusion in. :):):)

An regex like [b]bb - which has the same function like bbb will not be
removed by -+bbb

This makes it possible to fine adjust recipient and sender relational
rules.
