Nothing more todo. If the "log(0)" is fixed, this will never happen again.

Thank you for the reply Thomas,

Interestingly the overnight rebuild has corrected & not shown the issue.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to add some error handing to check
the size of the database before replacing it. Say if the database size
changes by more than 10% (or a configurable %) then it requires an
override to allow the change.

Another option would be to require an override if there is less than a
certain number of entries.

Both options would have prevented the hmmdb from getting wiped &
effectively being useless for more than 24 hours.

All the best,
Colin.

There seems to be exactly one record in HMMdb - this causes the error.
Clean the HMMdb and run the rebuild.

This is a bug and will be fixed in the next release.

Since last night’s rebuild I’m seeing the following in the rebuild logs:

2019-03-14 11:13:25 error: can't create HMM because of Storable errors
(/usr/local/assp/tmpDB/rebuildDB) - - e: Can't take log of 0 at sub
ASSP::MarkovChain::new line 57.

tmpDB is:

tmpfs /usr/local/assp/tmpDB tmpfs rw,relatime,size=4194304k 0 0

I don’t know what happened over night but the store folder became
disconnected – it was mounted but returning transport endpoint
disconnected. Rebuild ran and processed 0MB of data so I’m guessing this
has affected the database

I have rebooted the server to clear the tmpfs and run the rebuild again
but the same result.

I’m running perl module updates now as a precaution with it being an ASSP
specific error I’m not sure where else to start..

Any advice?
