Looking at this : Inbound: internet -> assp -> imail Outbound: client -> imail -> internet
I think you may be set up like I am. Since I'm not sending internal mail through ASSP I created a sub-domain for the ASSP server. You could call it assp.robinsonmfg.com. You need to set up an internal MX record in DNS for assp.robinsonmfg.com that points to the ASSP machine. List assp.robinsonmfg.com as a local domain on ASSP. Then you can send whitelistings to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and they will get there. I set up a redirector on my Exchange server so it is in the Global Address list, too. That way the end users can send to "Spam" or "Whitelist" without having to know the real address. I think though, you're just missing the internal MX record for that machine. That's why I specified the ASSP host in the email address. ASSP and IMail are on separate hosts. Inbound: internet -> assp -> imail Outbound: client -> imail -> internet Shouldn't ASSP intercept the message sent from me via the IMail host and addressed to one of its users? adamc -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, July 10, 2006 12:26 To: Questions and Answers for users of ASSP Anti-Spam SMTP Proxy Subject: Re: [Assp-user] email interface On 10 Jul 2006 at 9:30, Adam Campbell wrote: > What did I do wrong? > > "Any mail sent by local/authenticated users to this username will be > interpreted as a request to add addresses to the whitelist. What happens if you send to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ? Paul ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
