Ever since I installed the modules using Micheal's script, the Perl process has not overloaded and has not locked up my computer.  To note on the progress of the quick start guide, I've written instructions that inform the person installing ASSP that all modules are needed in order for ASSP to function correctly.  I also wrote out instructions on how to install the modules and how to update/upgrade them.  I'm hoping in another week or so I'll have the quick start guide finished and ready for review.

sincerely,

If you want to try Win32 again at some point, let me know and I'll forward you a copy of my installation script.  You run it, and let it do its thing.  It will install Perl, the modules, etc, and leave you with a base setup of ASSP.

I have never had an issue with any implementations started with this script.

It looks like I fixed this. I abandoned the Win32 platform and installed it
on a CentOS server.

I have narrowed the problem down. When the email interface is used the
perl.exe process eats up all the available cpu and the system stops
accepting connections. I disabled "run as a service" so I could watch perl
report to the terminal and the last thing it showed was my connection for
the spam report. It never generated a return email and the message never
was included in the /errors/spam folder. In fact there is nothing in the
/errors folders newer than 7/18, the day my problem started.

I cant look back at the moment, but I thought Fritz referred to the
ip session limit, not the timeout.

right, set the ip session limit to 20 and set maxbytes to 4000.
