While thats true, that doesn't mean it isn't an issue that effects the visibility of ASSP as an Open Source project. I am only making parallels to other more popular projects. > The difference between ASSP and SpamAssassin is besides, that it is a > complete different approach to the spam-problem, it was a one person > project and *nobody* from the developers of the first releases are > actually on board today. Also true, but I don't think that particularly hurts the project - especially considering that the work you have done has been so hugely successful. I think that, like with anything, the things that can hurt the most is perception. I think the recent boost in documentation will be a big help, but the website(s) need to be updated to drive user/new-comer attention to that fact and where to find available resources. The website should also drive attention to your expertise, the work you have done, etc, etc... All things to promote confidence and excitement around the project. And it wouldn't hurt your public exposure either. :-) I think these things and should be expressed outwardly to the viewing public in a way so that its readily available and easy to understand. The Wiki should go a long way to help if the primary website is maintained in a way to drive user accessibility to that information. Again, all my $.02 - but I have a strong desire to see ASSP succeed and grow. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
