The original message is not altered, so the original recipients are 
unaware that a copy of the message was made.  The copy is forwarded 
directly to the address specified, intact.

Return receipts are processed by mail clients.  So, if you open an ASSP 
"CC" message and the e-mail client you are using automatically responds 
to return receipt request - then a return receipt will be sent - due to 
your own error.

As per above, return receipts are outside of the scope of ASSP.
