>From http://assp.sourceforge.net/fom/cache/188.html "2) ASSP is a multiplexed server, not multi-process or multi-threaded. This allows ASSP to be truly cross platform and quite efficient in how it handles connections. Unfortunately it means that any process that blocks will cause a temporary SMTP outage. Perl's standard DNS functions block. This means that traditional DNSBL lookups via DNS are incompatible with ASSP's multiplexed design."
Does this still hold for the SPF lookups? Does it use the standard Perl DNS functions? Does it still block? The reason I'm asking is because I've started to see mail from a couple of mailing lists slowing, in some cases I'm not getting any from them. I am wondering if ASSP is blocking other incoming connections? If SPF does use the standard DNS functions and they still block, turning off 'Whitelisted SPF Validation' would be a VERY good idea.
