Well here are two reasons off the top of my head:

1.  The example doesn't seem to have any particular purpose - it's the example 
of executables from 
level 1 followed by '.zip', where '.' could be any character as it isn't 
escaped.  Do these have 
any special significance?  After all, if you want to block zips, you can just 
add 'zip' - as in the 
level 3 example.

2.  On some browsers, the example doesn't wrap in the display area and you have 
to horizontally 
scroll to see the end of the single line of text.

Hence my original question.

I'm not having a go at you - it's just that I don't know the history as to why 
that example was 
chosen.  Maybe there's a good reason which I'm completely missing.
