The way I understand it is.. (again I could be wrong) when receiving if you have a Local Addresses file specified, it rejects all mail except those listed in that file regardless if that recipient exists on the mail server or not.

It is my understanding (and I could be wrong) that the behavior depends on what you have set under Validate Sender section in the Validate Local Sender Addresses option.

Are you referring to LocalAddresses_Flat ?
