I agree.  Does ASSP leave the virus scanning and such to after the email has 
passed all other tests?  I am using the same clamd service with another 
application in our mail stream and it does not cause a performance hit as it 
does when used with the new integration in ASSP.  It does not see every 
connection however, only those that pass ASSP's tests including recipient 
validation and delaying.
