For SPF validation, if a message is sent from a subdomain, does ASSP
check the parent domain or the subdomain for SPF records? I just had
someone who failed SPF checks that should not have.
Take a look at this from the mailog:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] recipient
accepted: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Nov-16-06 15:21:00 162.114.238.14 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] failed SPF
checks -> d:\assp/spam/10866.eml
Nov-16-06 15:21:00 162.114.238.14 <************ @ag.ky.gov> to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] deleting
spamming whitelisted tuplet:
(162.114.238.0,ag.ky.gov) age: 1s
However, if you do a SPF lookup on the ag.ky.gov domain you'll see:
"v=spf1 ip4:162.114.80.0/24 ip4:162.114.3.0/24 ip4:205.204.133.0/24
162.114.238.0/24 ~all"
My guess is that ASSP was querying the parent domain ky.gov which does
not list 162.114.238.0/24.
