But I still recommend it.
Sorry to revive an old thread here, but time has finally come for me to sit down and install ASSP on a mirrored installation so I can try it in the real world instead of just reading docs and the like. But I just don't understand how to configure ASSP to get the above flow to work. I understand how to configure the incoming flow. It's the outgoing flow that I am just having trouble wrapping my head around. Incoming flow (ports in brackets): Internet -> ASSP(25) -> Mail Server(125) -> Mail Client (Eudora, etc) Config file params would be: listenPort:=25 smtpDestination:=127.0.0.1:125 Outgoing flow: Mail Client (Eudora) -> Mail Server (587) -> ASSP (???) -> Relay Server (12345) -> Internet Given that the relay server is my own internal server (ex: IIS SMTP), I can configure that to be any port. relayHost:=127.0.0.1 relayPort:=12345 But how do I configure the Mail Server to relay mail through ASSP? If I tell it to relay through port 25, won't ASSP respond with the No Relaying Error msg? Sorry for seeming dense here. Maybe I'm overthinking things a little, but I'm just having trouble wrapping my head around this simple concept. Thanks!
