I use an awesome utility called BareTail to watch my log files. It's pretty worthless for searching but awesome if you're watching for a certain condition, etc. The best part is that it is free!

That's nice! I typically use UltraEdit. It will notify you of file changes, but I don't recall an option for monitoring a file like that. I'll have to look into that.
