Well I guess it is decided then. We will move onward and upward. We will remove all authoring tags within the documentation and begin modifying/adding to it as/where needed? Is that the general consensus?

Actually thats not quite true. Right now all wiki content is licensed under the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 2.5 license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/) not the GPL. Personally I think the license is a bit too restrictive as it prevents derivative works. The documentation should be a community effort and not split off into sections of "he did this, she did that" etc. There is always the Talk page for each article to give an author credit for an especially good section.
